Server Exploit – Emergency Server Maintenance
One of our secondary TeamSpeak servers had an exploit and as such some people were given full administrative access over TeamSpeak. While I found no modifications with our server I have restored a backup anyway as well as upgraded to 3.6.0 which fixes the exploit. There may be some permissions and updates that may have been removed as a result of the restore. The only services affected were TeamSpeak and as such no data has been leaked as this is not stored on the same server and is entirely separate from Teamspeak as well as being encrypted.
Due to this exploit we have reset all the server passwords, and access passwords for our Channel Systems. While logs did not indicate that these accounts had been accessed we’re resetting them as a precaution, because of this reset GamersArray or MyExtraneous may give some “Access Denied” or “Unable to connect to: voice.helpcomponline.com” errors.
Update – Jan 24: We have whitelisted ServerQuery access so this doesn’t happen in the future.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
