Beta testing channel system
Our new Channel Management System is currently open for beta-testing. Before we’re going to replace the MyExtraneous system we need people to assist in finding bugs.
This system has been completely recoded and now has Permission management. You can choose who can view your channel information (View-Only), who can edit (Operator), and who has full control (Founder).
The reason we did this as previous founders have gone missing, or just hasn’t come online and the “backups” are trying to take over the channel. To prevent issues as I originally had to assign backup-founder status to people I will now let the original founders do this.
What’s currently working
- Channel Editing (Name, Password, Codecs, Parent Channel)
- Client Permissions (Both GamersArray / TeamSpeak)
- Channel Activity Graph (Premium Only)
- “At a Glance” main screen (shows channel information, description, etc…)
- We now support 256-bit full HTTPS traffic (This includes sign-in)
What’s coming
- Sub-Channel Management (Edit/Create/Move sub-channels)
- Channel Icons (Premium Only)
- Channel Description Editing
- In-Depth Channel Editing (Create AFK rooms / Special Permission Rooms)
- File Browser (Premium Only)
- SSO (Single-Sign on) – Forums, MyExtraneous, comments, and GamersArray will all merge so you only have to sign in once.
- Custom Groups (Possibly)
- Multilingual support
- Image Hosting (This is mainly for Channel Description, but can be used for other things as well. People are receiving “alerts” while editing their channel that not everything is secure – The reason is because they have images in their channel description which is being loaded. Most of the images are going through an HTTP connection… HTTP connections through HTTPS = Not 100% secure connection. This will resolve that issue).
- Disable all HTTP connections, and require HTTPS. (This is for security)
